The Walsh Family

The following are Calum's and Jamie's confirmed ancestors:

Mary Walsh (1822-27/2/1886) md John Kirwan

Mary Walsh
1822 - 27/2/1886

Mary Walsh was Calum's and Jamie's four times great grandmother.

Mary Walsh married John Kirwan. They lived initially in Tybroughney, and appear to have moved to Garrynarea between 1841 and 1849, both townlands to the south of Co. Kilkenny.

Mary died at Garrynarea on 27 FEB 1886, aged 64, the cause being old age and general debility. In her death notice she was listed as a widow. The informant to the Carrick-on-Suir registrar was her son-in-law Michael Gorman. (Source: GROI/IrishGenealogy.ie 1886 D Group Reg ID 6194887)
